BEARINGS

DESCRIPTION:

Bearings are essential for the safety of vehicle occupants, responsible for supporting and sustaining large radial and axial forces during operation. They are mainly found in the wheel assembly of the vehicle, allowing it to rotate smoothly and without generating high levels of friction. They can also be found in other parts, such as the shock absorber assembly, engine, gearbox, among others.

WARRANTY:

This product is guaranteed by K-GROUP CORPORATION and its worldwide distributor network. It applies to manufacturing or material defects and is subject to technical review by our experts.

Technical and quality characteristics:

KMX bearings offers a broad portfolio of bearings with multiple applications for the automotive sector and industry in general.

Manganese phosphated rolling surfaces, this gives the bearings greater protection against corrosion and provides excellent adhesion with the lubricant.

TL grease: for low working temperature (from -60°C to 100°C)

Ground and heat-treated surfaces, to improve tribology (wear resistance, corrosion resistance and hardness)

Note: For bearings with seals or shields on both sides, KMX does not recommend any type of maintenance, washing or relubrication.

We incorporate the quantity and quality of grease according to standard indications and specifications for load, speeds and temperatures.

Facility

  1. Have the right tools ready to perform a great installation. Remember that the tools you use will determine the success of a successful installation.
  2. The force must be applied to the interference ring. Rolling elements must never transmit the installation force.
  3. The fit between the bearing and the shaft will be provided by detailed design drawings. If this information is not available, the following may be considered: Rings that remain stationary under load may be mounted with a loose fit, and rings that rotate with respect to the load must have an interference fit to prevent drag.

Expert Tips:

RECOMMENDATIONS WHEN INSTALLING

Because they are parts that are subjected to high loads and efforts during their operation, are prone to high levels of wear, so there are some symptoms that help us identify when it is necessary to replace a bearing:

  1. Vibrations: When they are very worn on their internal tracks or treads, they can generate vibrations in the vehicle.
  2. Noise: Continuous, annoying noises during operation are signs that something may be wrong with the vehicle's wheel bearings.
  3. Uneven tire wear: When we notice irregular wear on the vehicle's tires, it may be a sign that the bearings have reached the end of their useful life, and are causing the tires to work with a certain looseness or inclination that generates irregular wear.

Whenever you make changes to suspension systems and steering of your vehicle, it is recommended to perform alignment and balancing to ensure optimal operation.

They must be installed with the correct tools, such as a hydraulic press, otherwise anomalies will most likely occur during operation prematurely.
